COMMENTING POLICY and SITE CONTENT USE:

(1.) COMMENTING POLICY

This site welcomes comments that contribute to the site content.

A user account is required in order to comment on this site, and, user accounts must be created with the use of a verifiable email address — the use of dummy email addresses results in accounts being removed.

If any difficulties in user account registration are encountered, email this site at “suzyrice@gmail.com” from the email address intended for registration and explain any issues.

Once a user account is registered, first time comments are moderated.

After such first time (moderated) comments, all comments are published unmoderated.

However, the types of comments that will not be published or which, once published are subject to deletion from this site, are:

* Posts containing personal information of individuals – “personal information” means residential addresses, home telephone numbers, any information that most of us recognize as proprietary (under control of use by him or her who is associated with it);

* Abusive and/or threatening remarks (which include referring to personal, proprietary information about others under pretense of anonymity [tactic used to attempt to intimidate others, revealing personal details about others while writing anonymously, using fictitious identities, attempting to place others in compromised conditions]);

* Comments that are incoherent or libelous; and/or,

* Spam and unsolicited advertisements (this includes user accounts that are registered for spamming purposes – those along with their associated spam are deleted).

The content of individual comments reflects the opinions of the commenter and in no way represent this site’s opinion, policies, beliefs or associations; and, all comments are or are not published at this site’s discretion in accordance with the Terms listed here. By commenting on this site, you acknowledge your understanding and acceptance of this site’s Terms of Service, as stated on this page.

NOTE:

Many user accounts were properly registered and used on this site when it was publishing with MovableType on previous servers/earlier hosts and/or while situated on the current server/host since 2005 but while MoveableType was in use.

Unfortunately, all user accounts created and used prior to this site’s implementation of WordPress as publishing platform (begun about 2007) will have been since deleted (due to the publishing changes, not due to any misbehavior by those earlier accounts); thus, new accounts will need to be created, with apologies for any inconvenience to those earlier user accounts among which many a friend existed.

(2.) SITE CONTENT USE

“Hotlinking” of image files from this site is disabled by default; however, there are a few sites to which this site makes that feature possible (this site’s image files as hosted on this site’s server displayed on another site, or “hotlinked” by another site) due to agreeing with other sites’ purposes and overall content.

If you author and/or publish a site on which you would like to display this site’s image files via “hotlinking,” please contact this site by using an email address from your domain and/or your internet service provider (no webbased email accounts accepted in this regard) and submit your site address and this site will consider granting your site “hotlinking” privileges.

This site’s contents — written and images — are to be considered original work by this site’s author (Susan Elizabeth [Suzy] Rice) unless noted in-line as the work of someone else.

The commercial reproduction of any of this site’s contents are forbidden without the prior, written permission of, and arrangement with, this site.
