Center for Security Policy says ‘No’ to ‘Shariah Beachhead’ at Ground Zero

— by admin on July 21, 2010

A growing chorus of New Yorkers and other Americans – including, notably, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich – have expressed outrage at the prospect of a similar, permanent beachhead for Shariah being use to defile Ground Zero, and symbolize America’s defeat at the hands of her enemies. We say, “No Mosque at Ground Zero.”

Who is the Iman behind the idea of building a mosque (“mega mosque”, plans include naming it “the Cordoba mosque”)?

Learn about this man, read as much as you can about him. He has U.S. citizenship and is using that context to attempt to justify the legitimacy of his motives and plans for a mosque at/near to Ground Zero. But that’s mere cover. Unfortunately, Liberals are miming Rauf’s attempts to dismiss concerns so it is important to remain firm in opposing building a mosque at Ground Zero, or anywhere in association with the terrible events that occurred in the U.S. on 09/11/01.

Ground Zero Mosque Goes Radioactive
— by Frank Gaffney at BigPeace

With help from two of our country’s most prominent leaders – former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich – Americans are being alerted to a truly horrifying prospect: The site where nearly 3,000 of our countrymen were murdered on September 11, 2001 is at risk of being defiled by a 13-story, $100 million megamosque.

More importantly, people across the Nation are learning about the true purpose of this complex: It is intended to be a symbol of America’s defeat on 9/11 – and a beachhead for the toxic program that animated the perpetrators of that murderous attack, the program authoritative Islam calls “Shariah.” (— Continued).

Also, this good news:

St. Margaret Mary parish on Staten Island has informed the Muslim American Society the sale of the convent for use as a mosque will not take place.

Another cog in the wheel to dismantle the Judeo-Christian values that are the foundation of this country, and turn it into a Western model of sharia law.

If Bill Clinton was the first black President, then Obama is the first Muslim president. How long will it be before the Mutaween police start showing up?

    1. -S- says:

I’m just opining here, I guess you very likely understand what I’ll share already, so I’m just opining…and wanted to include the following in relationship to this issue, the post itself:

Those promoting this mosque at Ground Zero are claiming some sort of non-existent “mutuality” or equivalency with Islam and “other faiths” — meaning, with Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, other faiths in general. And thereby relying on promoting the First Amendment right of Freedom of Religion.

No one is saying that Muslims if American citizens do not have the Freedom of Religion. No one is claiming that they can’t participate in their faith, believe as they wish.

But there is NO “right” to harass or destroy others. So up to a point of where anyone’s “beliefs” exist as freely enjoyed, up to that point and beyond it into an area where those beliefs represent criminal acts upon others (threats, violence, destruction of others, etc.), then religious freedom as a freedom stops (meaning, religious freedom doesn’t INCLUDE acts/behaviors that destroy others or sponsor same).

And, the U.S. was not attacked (on 9/11 or any other day) by Christians, Jews, Hindus, Baptists, Catholics, Buddhists or otherwise, but we WERE attacked by Muslims. So there is reason for this nation to exercise greater scrutiny of Muslims in their “practice of their religion” compared with other religious. I dare say that if an abortion clinic wanted to be constructed at Ground Zero, that many a person of no faith or any faith would be protesting and loudly.

The point being that the mosque at Ground Zero makes no sense religiously or culturally beyond making a negative point “against” the U.S. and about our nation in the name of Islam, and that’s a point that is being celebrated by many a Muslim. It just may be many a Muslim engaged in their Freedom of Religion, but the events of 9/11 were a national horror, of massive, national suffering — it places the ground there and in the area surrounding it in a different, unique context of national significance and meaning.

I watched a taped interview on WAPO with the wife of the Imam who is behind this Ground Zero mosque idea and she was speaking proudly of how she considers it “divine” that “the land” was “made available” to “them” — that the specific location does, indeed, as she revealed, mean something to her, her husband and other Muslims that goes beyond mere “culture” but means something “divine” or related to “the divine.”

So the they’re doing all they can indirectly to admit and confirm that a mosque at Ground Zero would, indeed, “mean to them” a significant (“divine”) presence for them, for Islam, for themselves as Muslims.

If they wanted a mosque to carry on the tasks that the Imam actually says he wants to carry on (“cultural education” — by the way, to a Muslim, that means indoctrination of non-Muslims and further indoctrination of Muslims, and, their “religion” instructs them that all have to be Muslim, submit, or lose their lives), then he’d be happy with any location of convenience. Why he opts to locate a mosque at Ground Zero, his wife leaked: they think it’s “divine” that such a mosque be built there, that means, they’re perceiving themselves as conquering in that location, in the act being an act of their god, allah.

The other people I heard proclaim that their acts were “divine” and willed by allah were the terrorists who took Flight 93, Flight 11 and Flight 77, in Hasan’s murder spree, in the acts by many other Muslims who think it’s “divine” and inspired to strike out to destroy Americans, Christians, Jews, this nation… and as to those Flights on 9/11, who destroyed many other human beings and U.S. property, along with striking at this nation with such decided destructive will.

So, there is ample reason to object and not allow this mosque at Ground Zero, on theological grounds, on national security grounds, on any standard of decency. It’s indecent of Muslims to be seeking to construct a mosque at Ground Zero, and, if they truly were a “religion of peace,” they’d recognize and respect the pain and ongoing suffering they are causing by these plans, and go build their mosque somewhere else that isn’t of national importance. Their obstinance in persisting only serves to reinforce to my view that they are, indeed, not of peace.
