GOP Sen. Graham to support Sotomayor

So Lindsay Graham tells the firefighters to combust, tells the NRA to bite their bullets and tells the U.S. Constitution not to be so hot and bothered by all those ideals.

And Lindsay has a meltdown.

For posterity, let this quote be Sotomayor’s lasting posie:

One law professor said the hearing was “less than useless. If Judge Sotomayor won’t meaningfully discuss any legal topics in front of the Senate, then what’s the point?”

Sotomayor — if Graham’s vote swings the other predictable few among the GOP to jump in (Snow, Collins, always good to help out the Democrats) — will now have the Supreme Court from whence to bubble elaborate nonsense as long as it courts and sparks with her ethnicity, gender and sense of what the Constitution should say if only it did, so she’ll frame her decisions based upon what she wants it to mean.

Oh, woe, the Republic.
