They’re just not stopping with “remaking America” (why America should be “remade” and how remains unclear but the Obama Administration is busy doing “it”), but now Barack Obama with his grubby war mule, Rahm Emanuel, are going after that irritating, burdensome, unruly Physicians’ Hippocratic Oath.
Which, by the way, will soon be announced is all your and my fault — it’s all our fault for making them do this — that Emanuel and Obama are soon to be kicking down the doors of clinical and ethical responsibilities by physicians and trying to wrestle those inconvenient truths into the ground where they’ll be exhausted by Democrats’ committee meetings, grillings by Democrat Senators keen on finding exactly why Hippocrates is even involved in medicine, the bastard, who, I bet the Democrats will find — with Nancy Pelosi pronouncing this uncovered bit — they’ll find that Hippocrates got involved in medicine with a group of other practitioners of medicine somewhere in Greece — probably Republicans the Democrats will conclude — and became prosperous. And, because their work was responsible to a higher ideal by which they also became wealthy: substantial ethics producing competitive products and services. So ethics has to go! Damn those ethics!
By the way, where are Barack Obama’s medical records? I’m sure they’re in Emanuel’s files with Barry’s academic records and actual birth documents, all those things that would “cause embarrassment” — so Barry says about them — if ever released. So, damn it, get Hippocrates instead! It’s his ethics that are the problem, not Barry’s nor Rahm’s! Get Hippocrates, take his words and bury them! Because, who needs ethics and an ethical oath by which medicine is practiced when the Democrats demand this thing called “healthcare” in which little to no medicine will actually be practiced (shhhh about that part). All ethically obligated physicians will now be reserved for “private clients” in Congress, the White House and among certain donors to the DNC and the rest of us, the rest of us will just have to damn Hippocrates all to Hades! Whether we want to or not!
What is needed instead of damning the Hippocratic Oath is to encourage more physicians to take it seriously and to apply it sincerely. Rahm Emanuel and Barack Obama are becoming something akin to the two-headed monster from the Disconnected Nebula of Crabsquid People who eats dogs, cats and anything else not connected to the crooked crabsquid collective.
Imagine a “world of medicine” without a shared oath of ethical practice: imagine a backroom, a guy whose name he hasn’t mentioned, procedures he may perform but he doesn’t know how to pronounce nor know if he can manage it, whatever it might be, so he’s sending Sylvia in to “deal with” you and maybe he’ll have a second appointment for your failing pancreas in another three years (or it might be your brain, he says, but the tests he knows of to tell the difference cost too much and won’t be approved so forget about the difference, he’s suggesting you have surgery on both) if you can get him on the phone — or maybe Sylvia’s sister — so, meanwhile, buy his special supplements at the front desk for seven hundred dollars…
The Emanuel/Obama excuse, so they declare, for pursuing the Hippocratic Oath to be trashed, is money: they’ll have more money if “healthcare” isn’t obligated by ethics and sworn to a shared ethical code by which it is delivered because there’s money there to be had for whatever transpires unencumbered by ethics. Isn’t that prostitution?
