So, here we go, the events unfurling, but the sweetest deed is that Captain Phillips is safe and sound, his ship and crew are, too, and our U.S. Navy Seals are as talented and well-trained as they again prove themselves to be.
Meanwhile, the Left is trying vainly to promote these events from the ocean waters off Somalia from this past week and weekend, as somehow a heroic moment about a heroic Barack Obama, which would be fine to a point — let the Community Organizer and his Organizers have their political-self-promotions hour, no one would resent them that, even if it means coasting on the backs of heroic military doing what they do so well — but the amping-up this hour of these events by the Left to moreorless mushroom over everything and everyone else in efforts to buoy Obama is ruining what’s great about these events and who is responsible (and it’s not Barack Obama nor his Organizers who are).
The news has eeked-out gradually from first report last week through to today, including the great rescue of Captain Phillips, but also including the worst of it: that there have been false media reports with CNN looking responsible for that.
The significant moment of rescuing Captain Phillips was and is to the credit of the Navy Watch Commander who seized upon a brief window of opportunity to direct three Seal snipers to do what they do and did so well.
