This just in – VIACOM vs CRUISE: BRIAN GRAZER MOUTHTRAP
…the Imagine uber-producer (Brian Grazer) is disputing to friends ever “making a congratulatory call” to Viacom Inc Chairman Sumner Redstone for dumping Tom Cruise’s Paramount production deal, as the octogenarian claimed in The New York Times today.
…and in case you were wondering whether David Geffen also disputes making a congratulatory call to Redstone, as the NYT quoted Sumner claiming — nope, Geffen did it and he’s proud of it, I’m told.
Thus, I am now more secure in my earlier suspicions that Sumner Redstone has put-put-putted into luminary octogenarian gastro-burn, joined there by other luminaries burned by the dripping wax from shooting stars. It’s good to know that Brian Grazer has not gone into that bonfire of luminaries and I will now reinclude him and his films in my “still O.K. to view” list.
