With the help of Save-a-pet-il.org, many surviving pets from Hurricane Katrina were rescued by wonderful people. This photo album by Danakay on flickr is a remarkable capture of human beings — and companion animals — at their very best in very worst circumstances. I’m still wondering about that goose, though — it’s not only about cats and dogs.
