RAGE AGAINST THE TRUTH

I think they’re confused as to what number they should dial,
if they could dial, once they realize
that there’s a phone in the booth.
Which they’re in.
Without a clue otherwise.

RedDotSml.gif Read Karl Rove’s original speech in full and in context and excellent commentary by RedState.

Otherwise, where is Hillary Clinton’s commentary about Dick Durbin’s slithering in the United States Senate and why is she not appropriately outraged about that. Karl Rove is big enough to field (and tread water and juggle while whistling “Dixie“) Clinton’s dodge of the issue, I am thinking, but it would be interesting if Clinton could get around to either outrage or lauds — whatever her emotion may be — about Durbin and provide a bit of explanation about either, or both.

At least, if nothing else, we now have on record the most outraged Democrats in our legislature (and otherwise) admitting by their outrage factor that they are, in fact, liberals and that Democrats are, in fact, the various liberal groups who, in fact, wanted the United States to issue indictments and offer counselling to terrorists (“talk therapy,” to which it is sometimes referred) after the events of 09/11 and more…which is, again, exactly what Karl Rove said on June 22, 2005.

If ever there was a case of the truth hurting, of a rage against the hurting truth, this is it: Democrats raging about everything except what matters, and that is, their misguided rage.

I can’t find my e-mail atm…that contains my pw, etc. or I would make a post…I’m currently out of town. Figured I would let everyone know that I’m still alive…just going through some dark times. Grandmother is ill…mother is having surgery. Life, mortality, etc. really hits ya in the face when someone close to you becomes ill. Thankfully I have a catharsis…writing.

On a different note…I saw “Batman Begins” finally last night…I enjoyed it quite a bit — the action and the philosophical aspects of the film:

Henri Ducard: “If you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, you become something else entirely.”

    —-

Rachel Dawes: “Wait! You could die, at least tell me your name.”

Batman: “It’s not who I am underneath, but what I do, that defines me.”

About BATMAN RETURNS, I haven’t yet seen it but plan to next week — I agree that these films with encouraging messages and intents are worthy of appreciation. However, in this film particularly, Christian Bale’s lead has been immensely underserved (if served at all) by publicity, which I am startled by, in lieu of some sort of blitzkrieg about Katie Holmes, which (and who) has not served the film well, if at all, to the contrary. It’s a mystery to me why that film has been so mishandled in the media — but, on the other hand, perhaps it’s being underserved intentionally (there’s a message there of moral character).

About the Smashing Pumpkins, I am quite fond of Billy Corgan‘s guitar mania but I hope that the regrouping isn’t headed toward a refreshment of the darkness. That they’ll be onto other things, defying the earlier permutation, like the Smashier Pumpkins err somthin’.

While I liked his work on the electric work with ZWAN — contrary to many who were befuddled by the group, particularly thier struggling acoustic work (which I found difficult to listen to, also) — the best aspect to ZWAN was the astounding work done on that CD by drummer, Jimmy Chamerlin. Not that his work earlier with the Smashing Pumpkins wasn’t great (it was) but that what he performed on ZWAN’s one CD was superb. Truly superb work.

I need to buy a NIN CD, no doubt about it. I’ve always liked their music, moreso their lyrics…remarkable. Thanks for those links!
