Unadulterated Dennis Miller on Jay Leno just minutes ago:

“‘That’s why I like Bush. He doesn’t over-think it. He wakes up every morning, jumps out of bed, lands on his two feet, scratches his balls, and says, “Let’s kill some f@#@$ing terrorists!”‘

“And the crowd applauded.”

Chris Matthews and MSNBC keep playing the following soundbyte…to try and insinuate that Cheney said that 9/11 was directly connected to Saddam…

“…the terrorists who have had us under assault now for many years, but most especially on 9/11.”

    Here’s the full context…

VICE PRES. CHENEY: Tim, we can do what we have to do to prevail in this conflict. Failure

Thanks for sharing that…my perspective: Matthews, like Democrats everywhere, has little to stand on, go forth with, if not the “there are no WMD” thing and the “Bush lied about who was responsible for 09/11” and similar permutations of that. So, they just HAVE to continue to split hairs to infinity about any fact, statement, report, bit of information, anything about 09/11, terrorism, our defense efforts, Saddam Hussein, OBL, Afhghanistan, Iraq. I mean, it doesn’t matter WHAT Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and most Republicans say about almost any aspect of all of those huge issues, Democrats will continue to split hairs to infinity about it all, without much regard to reason.

Matthews depends on the flight and fright response to even maintain an audience. If he doesn’t sound “emergent” he loses listeners, whatever/whoever remains. I USED to watch Matthews regularly but then I also used to vote as a Democrat, at least for one election. I understand his appeal IF you accept, first, the premise that there’s a got to be something hidden to be revealed by Democrats if you only wish it so often and hard enough. My feeling, at least…Matthews has nothing here, he just has excitement for an audience who needs it inorder to keep tuning in, and Matthews reinforces the “tone” of emergency for most Democrats, with very little fact, just a huge amount of suspicion, unhappiness and negativity by Demos about everyone and everything else.

Meaning, long story short, Democrats have nothing if they don’t have the “Bush lied” premise. So, they continue to try to find proof, as does Matthews with his “a-HA” behavior. Without it, what do they have — and based upon the many nonsensical, often nutty statements by many promoting the DNC lately, I don’t think it’s much. Even Kerry’s “healthcare plan” is fraught with nonsense, even Teresa Heinz-Kerry’s descriptions of it are fraught with nonsense, most celebrities are making comments in support of Kerry that are fraught with nonsense, and they all continue with the “Bush lied” accusation that is fraught with nonsense. It’s worse than an Oliver Stone film…that is fraught with nonsense.
