The Barbara Boxer, Hillary Clinton, Michael Moore triage developing…
From the California Republican Party, an interesting Newsletter edition, June 30, 2004, “Boxer’s Bungles,” the Michael Moore “I am not a member of the Democrat Party” taradiddle continues:
Barbara Boxer and Hillary Clinton made red carpet appearancs at the premiere recently in New York, of Michaal Moore’s film, “F:9/11.” Barbara Boxer, Senator from CA (D), is campaigning for re-election in the state, and Republican (former Secretary of State) Bill Jones is campaigning to represent California in the Senate instead.
From the Newsletter, these issues to consider:
“…When he travels abroad, Michael Moore likes to bash America and our ally, Israel.
MOORE: ??They are the dumbest people on the planet…in thrall to conniving, thieving smug [pieces of the human anatomy],? Moore intoned… In an open letter to the German people in Die Zeit, Moore asked, ?Should such an ignorant people lead the world??? (Emphasis added. David Brooks, New York Times, June 26, 2004)
QUESTION TO (Barbara) BOXER: Are Americans ?ignorant? and should our nation lead the world in promoting democracy and prosperity?
MOORE: ?In Liverpool, [Moore] paused to contemplate the epicenters of evil in the modern world: ?It?s all a part of the same ball of wax, right? The oil companies, Israel, Halliburton.?? (David Brooks, New York Times, June 26, 2004)
QUESTION TO BOXER: Democrats, including yourself, have been very critical of oil companies and Halliburton. Do you support Moore?s portrayal of Israel in this context?
MOORE: ??The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not ?insurgents? or ?terrorists? or ?The Enemy.? They are the revolution, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow ? and they will win.?? (David Brooks, New York Times, June 26, 2004)
QUESTION TO BOXER: Do you believe that American soldiers in Iraq are being killed at the hands of ?insurgents? and ?terrorists? or at the hands of heroes, on par with Paul Revere?
Hillary Clinton headlined a fundraiser for Boxer in California where women paid up to $10,000 to attend.
HILLARY: ??Many of you are well enough off that … [Pres. Bush?s] tax cuts may have helped you,? Sen. Clinton said. ‘We’re saying that for America to get back on track, we’re probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.?? (Emphasis added. Associated Press, June 30, 2004)
QUESTION TO BOXER: Will you support a tax increase if reelected? Do you subscribe to Hillary?s radical ideology of wealth distribution?
There?s nothing surprising about Boxer aligning herself with liberals. After all, she is a liberal and makes no bones about it. What is surprising is that she is aligning herself with radicals like Michael Moore and Hillary Clinton who promote extremist agendas that are completely out of step with voters.
More reasons as to why the Democrats of today have lost my confidence.
